RIP, my first mobile phone!

While looking back my previous posts in this blog (thinking whether or not to make this blog public...), saw a lot of pictures taken by my first handphone. The quality is not bad!!!

This is my first handphone which I got during Form 1. My mother bought for me as I joined Girl Guides and was going to the first camp in my life. That time, it was very expensive as during that time, camera phone were still new technology. It was RM1,000++ in year 2005!

My Sony Ericsson K750i.

"K" in K750i stands for "camera phone". It is the way which Sony Ericsson used to categorise their products. There were "W" which stands for "Walkman phone". (I did a lot of research before finally deciding to buy this model!)

I love the CAMERA!!! With just a slide of the cover, the camera function will be activated and I can take picture almost instantly! This has helped me in taking a lot of quick motion pictures! Besides, through this phone, I have brushed up a little of my photography technique. ^.^ How to take photo from different angle, adjusting the direction of the sun light, taking macros, discovered by chance that it can zoom and on an object and blur out the background (but depends on its mood XD), using different lighting effect (such as daylight, cloudy, fluorescent, etc). Will miss this function the most!

Next is the TORCHLIGHT. It is not good to use as the flash when taking photos. I prefer natural light. But it has served me well in the dark! For example when there were power blackouts in my house, or when I became a stage crew for 文娱. Ahh... those good memories...

Although I don't have much space to store mp3 (have to save more space for photos :D ), but those few MUSICS which I specially selected were all my favourite. Sometimes when I am really down, I will listen to the songs alone while walking, enjoying the scenery. Those musics have accompanied me through my sad moments.

There are many more features of this handphone which I have grown used to. The games, alarm clock which can be set for two different time at once, notes which can be pinned, music garage which was one of the factor for me to choose this model but only used a few times, etc. Oh, do you see the string attached to the phone? It has been there for a few years already. Actually the string has another part which it can be connected to, but I have lost the other half. However, this string is really useful! When the phone is in the pocket of my tight jeans, I will use the string to pull my handphone out. XD Useful, right? :P It is almost going to break due to my heavy use, but still intact.

What's the most frustrating thing about this handphone? Well, there are two: the "wheel" at the front and also it's earphone compatibility. After using for a few years, the "wheel" started to malfunction. Sometimes it is hard to press for a certain direction. It wasted a lot of my time, especially when typing messages. About the earphone, only Sony Ericsson earphone can be used because the connector is different. And I prefer headphone compare to earphone. This caused me to seldom utilising the radio feature.

Why RIP? Well, it is 8 years old now, and its battery life is going to an end, I can see that, because I have to charge daily, compare to previously, where it can last for at least 3 days. Then recently, I discover that the battery has expanded a little, become fatter. My friend told me that explosion can happen and she had read such cases before.

Thus, now I am using a Nokia phone with no camera function. :( You ask me why I don't want to buy a smartphone? Well, there are lots of reasons... But I'm not going to say them here, because this is a post specially dedicated to my beloved first handphone! (Later it becomes jealous...) LOL!!! XP

Sigh... Why there is no more such handphones in the market? I don't want touch screen handphone....

Will miss you, K750i~~~

Glad to make that choice! :D

Ever felt reluctant to do something, but then after doing it, felt glad that you make the choice to do it?
Hehe! I'm in a GOOD MOOD right now because I did the right thing!! :D

It's not something big, but enough to make me feel proud of myself! ^.^

There is a group called "不三不四电影俱乐部" near USM. Every month they will share two movies, and they have a theme for each month. The movies that they share are award-winning movies but seldom heard before in Malaysia. This month, their theme is "Wedding".

I have went to a few of their sharing sessions. This time, I am not very interested in the movie and the theme, so I feel very reluctant to go. Besides, I thought to myself, "I can always watch this movie myself in my room." Moreover, it is study week now, I should concentrate on my books! But I know, even if I don't go to this sharing session, I won't be studying also. So in the end, with hard work in forcing my heavy heart to go, I finally go to the sharing session.

After watching the movie, my first thought is, "What is the message that the movie actually wants to bring out???" I really don't know...

This sharing session is a bit different from usual. Usually, the host will ask some questions to guide everyone to share their opinions. This time, we are given a piece of paper to write what we want to know, then we pass the paper around for a while. After that, we are to read out the question that we have, then try to express our opinion based on the question. Other people can also share their opinions. Actually it's not that stressful also. If you somehow get a question that you don't know how to answer, then just say don't know. There are many people willing to share their opinions.

I feel that I really learnt a lot this time, compared with previous movies shared. This is because this time, the theme is something that I'm not familiar with, and there are quite a lot of experienced people who attended this sharing session. Learnt a lot from their opinions on the film! There are some who are experienced in shooting movies and some who are experienced in love. We also discussed issues like extramarital affairs.

A lot of queries which we do not understand, other people may have the answers. Therefore, I feel that movies should really be watched in a group, and a sharing session after that will be very beneficial! Maybe some of the meanings are interpreted by ourselves, which the director may not even think of that, but there's no right or wrong, the sharing session helps us to look at things from many different angles!

DeeJay thinks that it is really worth it, trying something that you are not familiar with. You will definitely gain a lot!!!

5th sem ended...

Yay! 5th sem ended~~!!! ^.^
Happy because finally escape from all those assignments!
Sad... because my study mood is not on yet...
How... what should I do to activate my engine...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anyway, put that aside temporarily!
My Accounting coursemates and I have gathered for a pre-Christmas party at Tanjung Bungah, eating barbeque! :D
Our barbeque site~~ :D
Digging the sand to build the fire pit~
Finally, fire!!! We have 3 pits altogether~ :)
Our food~~ There are chickens and fishes too.
Our food preparation team~
After cooked, straight away go into our mouth~~
Another bbq pit~
Just call "HONEY~~", then this guy will come to... not us... to the chicken wings~~ Haha!
Me, taking some bihun~~ :D
My lovely coursemate~ A bubbly girl~ Cute right? :D
Notice the background, a pair of couple was taking their wedding photographs! ^.^ They have candles surrounding the bride, but the wind was very strong, hard to keep the candles lit.

After eating, it's time to exchange Christmas presents!! ^.^

Our special ways of matching the presents! Everyone holds a string, then the first person will pick a string randomly from the center person's hand, then both of them pick a present from the pile for each other.

Our guitarist~~ :D
Although he does not know many songs, but it's fun singing a few songs like 浪花一朵朵 and 对面的女孩看过来~~

December babies~~ ^.^ The chocolate cake is really delicious!!! Bought from Bread History!
We wanted to put 孔明灯, but because the wind is too strong, failed... The lantern burned up! :O
Luckily it did not hurt anyone. Hope everyone's wish will come true!!! ^.^
My wish --

Why did I make that wish? Because that night, I suddenly felt that everyone is actually shining brightly! Everyone is so special on their own and plays their own part in their daily life! For example, someone was going around collecting rubbish; another person was going around providing tissue or honey; then someone was the coordinator; many were focusing very hard on barbeque-ing the food; someone was helping to "force" people to finish the food (LOL XP); two people were taking turns to be the photographer (they did their part well, capturing epic moments of that night, really thanks to them!); many people were willing to provide transport, and many many more!!!!!!

A great event which owes its success to all these people! A really perfect and blissful night as an ending to our 5th semester!!! LOVE ALL OF THEM!!! <3 <3 <3

DeeJay wishes all of my coursemates:
*** Eat healthy, Stay healthy!!! ***
*** All the best in final exams and internship!!! ***

Procrastination...

This semester I am really addicted to procrastination, always doing unneccessary or unimportant or not the priority things and really avoiding things that I am supposed to do; last few semesters I was better, managed to use my time well, completed my assignments earlier and had time to proofread, and had a more balanced life -- enough sleep and exercise.

Procrastination may be fun in the beginning, but it pays off soon... This semester, it's the first time I really experience how hard it is to rush to meet assignments deadline. Really handed in assignments at the last minute!!! Luckily I have friends who have transport, if not, I will surely be late already.

Finally getting to experience the consequences, I MUST NOT repeat this ever again!!!!

Hope I revert to my old self! Go go go!!!
And finally enjoy the benefit!!!

DeeJay!!! You, must be more self-disciplined!!!!

(Yan Keng Benevolent Dramatic Association)

(Kwong Fook Wing Tailor)

(Lee Lam Thye Market)

10。Gurdwara Sahib Polis

12。Sri Mahamariamman Temple

“Hentikan rampasan tanah adat”
“All the best to Lok Ann!”

(KL Gospel Hall)
