^.^

Recently, my friend asked me why do I like to use that smiley so much. Wow, she's the first one to ask me that and surprisingly, she can guessed my reason correctly! Haha! It's like she can read my mind!

Well, the reason is because I am in fact showing that expression at the moment I typed that smiley. In fact, every smiley that I used really, truly portray my exact expression and feelings at that time!

^.^ = really happy, cheerful, relax
:) = a polite/comforting smile
:p / XD = a naughty smile (to not-so-close friends)
;p / XP = a naughty smile (to close friends)
:D = a gleeful smile (unfortunately the letter 'D' can't show my teeth XD)

Hmm...I think that's all for the smileys that I usually used. Well, it's just my definition of my usage, not the real meaning of those smileys. :)

Oh yeah, just learnt a new smiley from my friend --- :() = yawning
Well, people who know me will definitely know that I can sleep almost anywhere. XD So, I think this smiley is suitable for me. :P But I have not tried using it yet. :D

Let's end this post with some smile quotes:
  • Today, give a stranger one of your smiles.  It might be the only sunshine he sees all day.  ~Quoted in P.S. I Love You, compiled by H. Jackson Brown, Jr.
  • A smile confuses an approaching frown.  ~Author Unknown
  • A smile is a curve that sets everything straight.  ~Phyllis Diller
  • Always remember to be happy because you never know who's falling in love with your smile.  ~Author Unknown (to those who want to find their another half :P )
  • I've never seen a smiling face that was not beautiful.  ~Author Unknown (Smiling people are beautiful/handsome people! :D )
  • Keep smiling - it makes people wonder what you've been up to.  ~Author Unknown (wow...naughty! Lol!)
  • It takes seventeen muscles to smile and forty-three to frown.  ~Author Unknown
  • It takes a lot of work from the face to let out a smile, but just think what good smiling can bring to the most important muscle of the body... the heart.  ~Author Unknown (It can surely comfort the heart...)
  • If you don't have a smile, I'll give you one of mine.  ~Author Unknown
  DeeJay hopes everyone will smile many times a day!
And if you don't have a smile, I'll give you mine! :)
Be happy and positive!!!

Happy Fathers Day!

My father is like a trampoline! Catching me when I'm falling and then giving me a push to start off again!

My father is hard to convey his true feelings, so he keeps most of his happiness, anger, pride of his children achievements, sadness, and others inside of himself all the time. But he is one cool father! To know about his feelings, you have to observe his small actions from time to time.

When he's happy, he may make a "good" sign. When he's angry, he'll "merajuk" and won't talk to us until his anger subsides.

I know I have been troubling my dad many times, asking him to bring me to places with his car. Sorry and thank you very much! Because of you, only do I have all these opportunities to experience many things.

Sometimes I think my parents know exactly what I'm thinking! What they've said is exactly what I have in mind. Though sometimes it's my father and other times it's my mother who has the same thoughts as I have.

Last but not least, I would like to say infinity "thank you and sorry" for all the troubles that I've caused! I appreciate everything that both my mom and dad have done for me! I will be a filial child!

DeeJay wishes all fathers in the world Happy Fathers Day! All of you are great!!!

Driving Practices

Having practices with my father besides taking driving lessons from driving instructor. Even though my father's car is auto, but I learnt a lot from him too!

When learning from driving instructor, he did not emphasise much on steering and brake control. This is because he had to train me for the slope, side parking, and 3 point turn test. Thus, practising with my father really made me improve a lot!

I always thought that it's unnecessary to practise with my father's auto car, but eventually, I noticed how important it is to have as many practices as you can.

Practice makes perfect!

And everyone, don't look down at driving! It may seems easy when you look at how your dad drives, but in reality, it takes lots of practices and experience to be a professional driver! And parking is definitely very challenging, especially when you want to park between two cars! Now, I really admire those who can drive!

DeeJay hopes that everyone can reach their destination safely!
Drive safely and follow the rules! ^.^

Everyone Has A Purpose In Life

Nowadays, I keep thinking that I know nothing besides studying...

Actually I hate people commenting about how clever I am or about how good my results are! I always feel reluctant to tell my results when people ask about it. Caring about your own academic is okay, but to the extent of wanting to know about others results, and then to make sarcastic comments or comparation, I really hate it!!!

My friends usually said, "Oh wow, all A's! Well, as expected from you."

That kind of statement makes me feel kinda lonely... Watching everyone beside me consoling each other or congratulating each other, I'm the only one out of the circle...

Sorry if anyone get offended from my post. You may feel that I don't appreciate what I have. Well, you're free to think whatever you want.

Sometimes I really envy those that don't usually get excellent results! When they see improvements, they will feel happy and surrounded by friends congratulating them. Me? I think I've been so used to getting good results that I don't even have any feeling...Even when I get bad results, I'm not affected also... Maybe I'm easily satisfied.

Actually I think there's no clever or stupid people in the world, because everyone is born like a sheet of blank white paper. I think the advantage that I have is that I seem to be able to absorb knowledge very fast. That's all. That's why I don't feel much satisfaction academically, because I got it a bit too easy (to me).

Instead, I really envy those athletic people, even if their results are not really good. I think that they are really great, at least they have skill at something and can make contributions to the school. Thus, I try to be like them. I manage to fill my satisfaction through co-curricular activities. The pains and gains and sweat made me feel proud! At least I have things that I finally got through hard efforts!

Hmm, seems like we tend to envy other people and thinking that we are lacking. I feel like that too. "It's okay," I tell myself. "Everyone has a purpose in life. One day, I shall be successful in my own way too! Believe it!"

DeeJay 相信: 天生我才必有用!行行出状元!
Be proud of the things that you get through your own hard effort, even if you didn't get the first place!

A genuine smile

Tip to recognize a genuine smile:
You'll notice some wrinkles at the end of the person's eyes. No wonder they say that eyes can smile! ;)

I'm not someone who can force a smile when taking photos.

I remembered when I took a class picture in secondary school, that time I was really in a bad mood, and you can imagine how the picture came out... My face was so SOUR~~~ X.X

When I'm taking photos with friends casually, I can smile, but I'm always not satisfied much with the photo when I see it. The smile seemed not bright enough to me, or not sincere enough... Sometimes, I'll feel lazy to take pictures... I know that's not good...

When do I actually like to take pictures? I love to take pictures after completing a project or some challenges with my fellow teammates! ^.^ It's actually the most relaxing and happiest moments ever! I feel satisfaction and thus, the mouth curves upwards itself! :)

Some of those moments are of course the time spent in my secondary school life with my clubs friends! Camping, telematch, projects, etc... The endless, busy and suffocating, yet meaningful life at that time is unforgettable! Besides, I believe true friends are found when you go through thick and thin together!

Smile more and make the world into a cheerful place! DeeJay is going to smile more too, sincerely!

Clever vs Smart vs Wise

Which one do you want to be?

Just read an article from newspaper (The Sun, June 6, 2011) entitled, "True Worth of Wisdom" by Goh Hock Thye from Ipoh. Below are part of his article which I summarize out.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
According to the Oxford Dictionary,
Clever = being quick in learning, understanding of things and showing off ability and skills
Smart = having a good or quick brain, showing ingenuity, being clever and intelligent but perhaps, dishonest
Wise = having experience and knowledge together with the power of applying them practically

Smart is skewed more towards the negative side, having the element of outsmarting others to benefit oneself.
Clever, on the other hand, does not has the elements of insincerity or deceit.
(Therefore, do not use the wrong word when complimenting someone. XD )

What about being wise?

Being wise is considered noble because it has elements of being righteous, knowledgeable and able to make good judgment. Basically, being wise is about the ability to differentiate right from wrong.
A wise person does not mean that he/she knows everything. In fact, he/she realizes that, and will humbly seek knowledge from others, which also includes openly accepting criticisms.

An example, many parents will buy one toy each for their children to avoid arguments. But, what do you think wise parents will do?
They will buy only one toy so that they can cultivate the virtue of sharing among their children and thus developing a harmonious family.

Question: Why do we need to be wise?
Answer: To live a happy and successful life.
BUT, never mistake knowledge for wisdom! One helps you to make a living, the other helps you to make a life.

One is not born wise but one can, with the right guidance and attitude, acquire it through a process of lifelong learning.

DeeJay hopes that everyone will acquire wisdom throughout their life and use it to make a life that you can lead proudly and happily! ^.^

Friends

Bad friends;
Good friends;
Hi-bye friends;
Close friends;
Internet friends;
Pen friends;
Animal friends (your pets);
Girlfriend/Boyfriend (I hope this one does not have "S" XD );

But to me, I think the most wonderful type of friends is your...
...

BEST FRIENDS

Best friends may not be The Only One,
Best friends may not be many too.

Best friends are the ones whom you have unlimited topics to talk about and the day never seems to be enough;
Best friends are the ones who support you when you are down;
Best friends are the ones who scold you and make you realize the reality;
Best friends are the ones helping you when you are in need even if it meant trouble for them;
Best friends are the ones whom you can tell your embarrassing moments to;
Best friends are the ones whose simple SMS can brighten up your day instantly!

I am PROUD to announce that I have less than 5 of such friends! ^.^
Seems few? Nevertheless, I feel so happy and contented to have met such friends ever in my life! Can't wait to meet them soon! Will be 'suffering' from sleepless night until the gathering! ;p Super duper anticipating~~~

DeeJay appreciates every person that appears in DeeJay's life. Hope that all audience will appreciate every relationship that you come across too! :)
DeeJay rolling out~~~

Natural Remedy for Chapped Lips

Suffering from chapped lips? No confidence to step out from your house?
Worry no more! Let me give you some tips on an easy and natural way of treatment.

I too, had been suffering from chapped lips for a few years. Thanks to a tip from my mom that she read from her email, I am officially a person who can express my smile freely now!

The tip is, apply some butter on your lips every night before you go to sleep. Easy, right? But you have to be patient, as it will not be The Perfect Lips after just one night. Be patient and repeat the process every night. Nevertheless, you'll not be disappointed as you'll see the progress! ^.^

Besides, there are other "Do and Don't":
Do...
  1. ...drink plenty of water to keep your mouth moisturised.
  2. ...apply lip balm for the purpose of moisturisation also.
Don't...
  1. ...use your hand to peel off the dead skin! There's a correct way to do it!
  2. ...lick your lips! You may think that will help to moisturize your lips, but saliva actually dries out your lips!!!

All right, I think that's all from me! If you search the web, you may find other natural remedies that can be used too, such as honey.

Last of all, DeeJay hopes that everyone will have confidence to express your brightest and loveliest smile! :D
